Recommended fabrics

  • Cotton
  • Polyester
  • Cotton/poly blends
  • Fleece and softshell (test first)

Tips from the lab

  • Store transfers flat and dry, away from heat.
  • Avoid direct pressing on seams or zippers.
  • For thick garments, increase pressure slightly.
  • Always test on specialty fabrics for color migration.

Troubleshooting

Film not releasing

Cause: low pressure, uneven platen, overcooling, lint or dust on fabric.

Fix: increase pressure, use a flat plate or pillow, peel immediately, lint-roll garment.

Edges lifting

Cause: low pressure or short press time, seams creating gaps, garment still damp.

Fix: add pressure, ensure full contact with a plate or pillow, pre-press 3 s, post-press 3 s.

Small details not sticking

Cause: artwork below 0.3 mm, pressure too low, rough fabric texture.

Fix: thicken lines to ≥0.3 mm, add pressure, use a finishing sheet and post-press.

Plate marks around print

Cause: direct contact with hot platen on sensitive fabrics.

Fix: use parchment or a silicone matte sheet for post-press. Avoid long second presses.
